Just wanted to follow through on this thread with my solution. Although my coding skills at best are woeful, it appears the problem was not with the code but my data.
I collect my data from dukascopy, convert with tickstory and test with Birts Tickdata Suite. I had been using build 910 for testing as there was issues with subsequent builds. But at some point my terminal has updated (tickdata suite you can disable automatic updates) and I say this upgrade corrupted my data.
So, I went through, reprocessed my data and problem solved.
