MT4 cannot be started automatically!

Hello there,

I'm trying to run my MT4 terminals automatically on Windows startup through Services and Task Scheduler on my Windows Server 2012 dedicated server with no success.

Looks like it is not possible to run MT4 as a service because it uses specific, user dir, so that user needs to be logged in...

So how to start automatically my MT4 terminals if the server restarts ?

I have a grid strategy trading EA and when it has open positions, it must be online all the time until the positions are closed!

How to do it ?  Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

TJ

Use portable mode "terminal.exe /portable" if you want to run it as a service (Srvany) or via the Task Scheduler. See the documentation about it.

See the the section "Portable Mode" almost at the end.

Alternatively, set the the Server to do an "AutoLogon" and place a shortcut in the users "Startup" section to automatically start the MT4 Terminal.

It was helpful, thank you!
