Hi,

How do I calculate the distance, expressed in pips, between 2 EMA's showed in a chart?

Lots of thanks.

Hi GumRai,

If I do that, the result that I get is the distance "in price value"....so to speak, right?

Thanks.

Oh yes, divide the result by Point to get the value in points and then adjust for 4 or 5 digit brokers

Hi again,

Ok, I do not know about this "Point" you mention, but I will investigate myself.

I assume when you say "get the value in points", you want to mean get the value in pips.

I will give it a try.

Thanks, for your help.

A point is the smallest decimal.

So if EURUSD has 0.00001 as the smallest decimal, then that is equal to 1 point, so 1 pip would be 10 points

Another broker may have the smallest decimal as 0.0001 so 1 pip will be 1 point
