Portfolio-level stop loss

I want to put the following trade:

Short: US Oil (WTI)

Long: UK Oil (Brent)

If one position loses, I think the other will gain. As such, if I have individual stop losses, I could be in a position where the net loss to my portfolio is zero but there's a substantial loss on one leg of my trade. If I use stop losses on each individual leg, I could get stuck locking in a large loss when my account is at break even and then if the other leg normalizes... i would have substantial losses.

I want to set a stop loss that sells all of my positions when my account as a whole reaches a target $ loss value.

 Is this possible?

  1. Why do you think it wouldn't be? You know your equity. You know your balance. Therefor you know your floating loss.
  2. learn to code it, or pay someone. We're not going to code it FOR you. We are willing to HELP you when you post your attempt (using SRC) and the nature of your problem.
