MT4 not working with Windows 8

Hi. I would appreciate any help with this. I upgraded my computer from Windows XP to Windows 8 and everytime I try to open MT4 it opens and closes immediately. I tried with a couple of different brokers FBS and XM and MT4 does same thing. Opens but Closes immediately. Appreciate any help
 

I am having MT4 and MT5 on Windows 8 and not a problem at all ...

I have no idea about this issue sorry.

 
Everything changes with xp to 7/8. Xp has no UAC. You installed it in \program files. Reinstall it, your files should move to the new data folder Data Structure in MetaTrader 4 Build 600 and Higher - MQL4 Articles

Thanks for the help. I uninstalled reinstalled it and it won't install on anything but here

C:\Program Files (x86)\FBS Trader 4

Any other suggestions. Again thanks for any help


 
It doesn't require an installation you can simply copy the entire folder to where ever you want
