Message "Waiting for update"

When I try to drag the symbol to the chart area or when I want to change the period, it shows message "waiting for update" for very long and nothing happens. Anyone can help to solve this problem or any settings need to be done to my laptop ?

Right click chart and select refresh.

it still didn't work. I am using windows XP, any issues with that ?

Well. you sure have internet connection, since you can write here ;).

1. When you refresh the chart, look at status bat at MT4 right bottom, what did it say ?

2. Open new demo account from that broker.

3. Install MT4 from other broker and see if its running OK.

Yes, isn't that my request # 2 above ?.

You may also check your firewall, just in case it block MT4.

YES. And on some brokers demo accounts expire after several weeks, need to reopen periodically.
