Unable reading excel file very likely denotes excel document corruption

I was not having an option to save a new xls as .csv... so i did that and wasted 3 days troubleshooting this :((

Thank you for your interesting question and posting. Just one question: Which program are you using for creating the file? That is, you are trying to read the data from the file correctly how is the file created in the first place?
