wouldn't it be great if MT4/5 would make a predefined 'string INSTRUMENTS_POOL[]' and make it mandatory for broker to enlist all available on offer... :)

MT5 has it (AFAIK). For MT4 there's a workaround -> https://www.mql5.com/en/code/9102.
