semi-automated EAs

If it is .001% manual, then it is a fully-non-automated EA.

The EAs are fully automatic like M16 Armalite, and the SCRIPTs are semi-automatic like M1 Carbine.

Semiautomatic EAs cannot be backtested. If you try by brute force, it would be 10% as accurate and repeatable as fully-automated ones.

Just a guess. The reason being, it is not fixed, and may change if redone 'with human intervention'.

However, quite interesting, I created an EA which converts some newsfeeds into data and accessed by EA. I was able to backtest because the news website has historical data of its news back to 2 years. However, such is dependent on the website's reports and therefore may be very inaccurate too.
