I need some help about strategy tester
,,I have downloaded some stock histories,,,I can open them offline without any problem however I would like to backtest them therefore I need to use strategy tester.
my problem starts at this point,,,in metatrader on symbol box there are just some currencies but I want to see there stock histories in order to test my strategies.
how can I add my stocks iin the symbol box ? I have been searching this information for 2 days,,haven't found any clue...
The symbols list in the Tester comes from 'symbols.sel' file; unfortunately this file's structure is only partially known -> https://www.mql5.com/en/code/9102. A better solution would be to import your data into a known symbol (using history center) and then test on that symbol.
