Are the .mq4 files protected now?

Hello,

I'm trying to apply some modification to a old .mq4 file but when I save it it's not possible : access denied ????

It is also not handy to do some backup, when you look into the expert file the .mq4 files are no more there??? (They are there in fact but invisible with windows Vista.)

If you know what's happening and if there a solution, I will be glad to be inform.

mq4 is just a text file. so there doesnt have to be any restrictions.

but mq4 file can have ReadOnly attribute market.

Try to use "Save As" item or check file for that attribute



Also check attributes Hidden

and run some antivirus =)
