HI, If I run an EA on a DEMO MT4 account 1 min EURUSD vs the same EA on a Live MT4
Account 1 min EURUSD data, is it possible that you would get different results
( maybe tick feed is different ), that being live is better data feed ??? Broker
: InterbankFX
This forward testing an EA, not back testing. Comparing data feeds running an EA in forward testing. |

One of the servers, on which the client terminals and Expert Advisors of the Championship Participants are working, failed last Saturday. For this reason 20 Expert Advisors did not work on Monday. All Expert Advisors have become able to continue their competition by 12 a.m. on Tuesday. |

Demo and Live accounts are on different servers, and different amount of requotes
and different server stops are usual.

Yes you'll get different results - take one pip profit off every demo trade at least
-- that's more of an indication if your system is profitable.

Well I just compared North Finance 1 min EURUSD to InterBankFx 1 Min EURUSD, and
there are way more ticks or requotes or whatever in the NF data. Massive difference.

So is the effort of programming and demo trading pointless?

No of course not. You can trade with a profitable EA on a live account. And if you
aren't scalping your profits will be large enough to cover up for the differences
between the Demo and Live accounts.
