Hi, My EA takes perfect long and short orders when backtested. However, when run live it slips to take the orders at the right time. Due to copyrights of the Indicator that I am using, its not possible to share the indicator which is used to generate signals. Did somebody ever face this situation? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

The article dwells on the method of constructing charts, at which each bar consists of the equal number of ticks. |

over opimized in a specific backtest period. live and future (also for forex) is different then past. what period you was backtesting? try to optimize strategy for example for jan. 2010 until june 2010 then let rund the strategy with optim. results in another period for example july 201o until december 2010.. you will see the difference :-) |

I bought an EA once, several months after it was first advertised. Backtested it month by month. Perfect, good returns, low drawdown, etc. Except for the last 3 months. Profit Factor dropped like stone to approximation of random event. I asked 'support' about the backtest results. "This EA is not designed for backtesting" Got a refund |
