Beta testing of the new client terminal and MQL5 development environment starts in summer.

Been in vacation for a week and quite lost the action. When is the beta available?

The toolbox in the screenshot does not show an order comment column. This concerns me, as my EA uses both the comment and magic number to store data. I hope the comment field will not be scrapped. In fact, it would awesome if you could introduce a new field that allows for a longer string, and that could be altered (only by the EA and not the broker) after an order is placed. I think this is more critical than the silly hedging debate.

There are some things that are important. The comment and, why not, the add of system comment like these tell me "from #46757" instead of rewrite my original comment when I close part of order. But cut off hedging possibility is an autogoal !!

Every one of us want a backcompatibility in every developing language. If you know Visual Basic you can see how many developers Microsoft has disliked with new dot versions of language with the result of a big migration toward other languages (not Microsoft!). When I think about the reason who guide the choice to cut off hedging possibilities (add of stock market and other regulated markets) I can't think and consider the need to mantain separate the account because of different way of margin lock. And so, why not develop a new platform only for these new market ?? One for Forex & CFD (in short for all OTC market) and one for regulated market (with book, orders pool and so on).

In these day I am looking for an alternative platform to migrate my trading system if the new features will be reality in autumn !!

Hi!

I have a couple of suggestions for the MetaTrader 5 that I was hoping you could add to it.

-The first is if you could please add the option for detaching charts from the main window so that one can easily view charts on multiple monitors. This so that I don't have to split up the main window. Just as with Adobe Photoshop.

-The second is that it would be nice if you added real time floating loss/profit in pip values on open orders in terminal window. I have tried to find an indicator that shows this in the carts without success, but the best would be if you could make it as a part of the information for open orders.

I hope comments will be saved with backtesting reports to help me analyze trades, as I store indicator values in comments. This was available in MT4 only with live trades reports but not with backtesting reports.

Totally true, this is a nightmare in MT4. I think it also happens with magic numbers.

The best way to proceed is to CALL THE BROKERS AND COMPLAIN !!! Metaquotes isn't listening to one word anyone on the forum is saying....we want hedge..., back compatability, and DON'T WANT TO BE FORCED TO HAVE OTHER FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS!!!

If you'd like to know what MT5 will look like just download "VT Trader" - CMS-FOREX broker. Your are handcuffed!

The worst Platform in my opinion in meaning Expert Advisors.

Hi Fancy Name

You are good at it aren't you

Obviously it is a mistake to think that your name means you check information before claiming it (also refering to your says about mt5 and offsets)

What about rebaptising yourself differently like TheBarker or TheGuyWhoThinksHeKnowsALotButItsNotNecessrillyTrue or anything so that we don't get confused ?

I use comments and magic numbers identically in backtesting and real market (broker is Activetrades)

Anyway sorry about my post if it hurts your feelings. Don't get too angry as I am in a bad mood these days ;)

Yet ... please do keep it in mind
