Hello, I'm a MQL programmer and I like to be a MT5 beta tester. Thank you. |

Hi everyone. What indicators will be included with MT5? I'm ready to be a MT5 beta tester. Thanks, |

I think the MQ silence hides massive changes to MT5.

Also, if you guys are still working at it, do something about swaps, so we could find easily the swap earned/payed for a given contract, lot size and direction traded BEFORE we trade, not after, like OrderSwap does. We had lots of trouble converting MarketInfo's answers to MODE_SWAPLONG, MODE_SWAPSHORT, and MODE_SWAPTYPE to interest earned/payed and even now swap type 2 is not covered, as we struggled to find formulas for swap type 0, 1 and 3. |

I seriously hope so. The NFA compliant only MT5 is not suitable for (all) many traders and I for one would rather have a platform that is not dumbed down version limited to suit ONLY the NFA rules when many traders in the U.S. may wish to trade with non NFA regulated broker in the U.S. or non U.S. brokers that don't have such idiotic NFA, FIFO or no hedge rules. In terms of trading function, MT4 is good, whereas MT5 is disappointing, how to manage orders? let's see some examples: 1, CMC markets platform will merge automatically new order onto existing one and leave only one active position; 2, ODL trader platform has two options, one is pro mode, in this case, all orders will merge automatically into one position, the other is called retail mode, in this mode, orders will keep separately; 3, Dukascopy jforex platform will leave multiple orders, if you want, you can select those orders and merge them into one position. MT5 is like example 1, very annoying; in example 2, you have the choice; the best is in example 3, you can merge whatever you like, no matter same direction or opposite direction. So, if MT5 will do like example 3, that will be ideal, trader or EA can easily deal with different orders, acceptable if like example 2, the worst will be merge automatically orders into one position. MetaTrader is a trading platform, if trading function is not user-friendly, then, traders may simply discard it. As for compatibility, I'm not a programmer, don't how difficult to convert EAs or.... I agree that there should be an option - why limit this part as well it? Its just too much dumbing down of what was a great trading platform. There is nothing more certain that if Metaquotes continue to only make MT5 compliant to NFA rules then I and many others will simply not use it and find a a better alternative. We know how MT3 was discontinued some time after Mt4 with its improvements but to discontinue supporting and updating Mt4 would be a grave mistake to make when or if MT5 is built around NFA rules. I would rather have non of the new features of MT5 which I am looking forward to trying out if it means only having a dumbed down limited platform for use with NFA regulated brokers. TheEconomist: it is unlikely that MQ will give us multi -asset backtester in MT5. There has been no mention of this even though many traders and programmers have requested it for several years. |

Yeah, I think that they might redesign the entire trading part of MT5. First because of the new NFA requirements forbidding pending orders, second because this huge current anti-MT5 has prove itself strong and they fear that also because of the crysis brokerages will be reluctant into buying MT5 because traders are against it ; US market would be guaranteed, while the rest of the world would dump it - but what future has retail fx in US ? So that would mean two years of work thrown off the window. On another hand, if the backtester is still not multiasset - and you are true, FXIA, they never said the backtester will be multiasset, alhough they know if for years - only the events might remain as the last good thing the platform has, and it is way too insignifiant compared to the long MT4 wish list. I'm waiting to do great things with MT5 . If it is under my expectations I'll probably give up, because there is no other choice - the PFSoft platform is lacking even its own documentation, if not even reliability ... yeah things look really really bad. |

I think MQ silence hides brokers new MT5 testing results ;) They got it for tests in the summer, I think. So now they know how it works :)) Wonder if they are happy? |

The greatest challenge is to create a dual ticketing system, that allows traders to use the order system, yet that on the broker side looks like the position system.

Do anyone know if it will be possible to drag/adjust the S/L and T/P directly on the charts in MT5? I hope this will be a new feature.
