Im more of a trader than a programmer, so my main concern is only backward compability of my custom indicators. Ill suppose that It will be neccessary for me to find a way to convert them to MQL5.

Hopefully it hasn't been released yet because they are re-doing....the No hedging and No back compatability problems...

If it's about re-doing... I'd like to see the tick-by-tick history revisited; after all, we live in the High Frequency Trading era, and if MT5 is a state-of-the-art trading platform of this period, not the end of the 90s, must at least support tick-by-tick history and charting, even if the latency remains retailish. At least I'd rather like to see SOMETHING, even if it will have updates, so I could start working on!

Later edit: A second is too much, and a minute is an ethernity in this HFT world... Tick-to-tick data is the base to make sound statistics ; the backtester should suppose ticks only where data lacks, not just fill every "ethernity" with its own creations that match the bar parameters ; otherwise, how could tick level statistics be done?

Another issue....is that MOST of the info on this web site will be inaccurate and worthless.......... much of the discussion...re. syntax, commands, structure and strategy will not apply to MT5
