the DOWNLOAD page clearly states systems MT supports - Build 218 run ok - 220 NOT

is their peoples that use 98SE ? please post

.

i use Win98SE on old machine 24/7 cuz it just works without all bells whistles of later Wins. I learn that over 70million still use some variant of 95,98 or ME.

is my testbed for robots etc.

http://www.metaquotes.net/downloads/ states Windows 98... would appear to be ok platforms

.

IF ok platform THEN why not build 220 work? (Alpari download was used - need Alpari...)

.

i install and get the 'small window' pops up and that's it... Build 218 works OK

would be interested to hear of anyone who has overcome wat shown in this thread http://www.metatrader4.com/forum/12733

Best 2 U

.

edit

build 220 will not uninstall from 98se... stalls on first action "Preparing uninstall" - nice...

am left with files (of course deleteable) but wat bout system stuff put there by install, how purge HD of all MT ? - then retry install

How to Make the Detection and Recovery of Errors in an Expert Advisor Code Easier

In Export Advisors development, the questions of code errors detection and recovery are very important. The peculiarity is that a not detected in time error may ruin a precious idea of a trading system already on the stage of its first testings. That is why any sensible EA developer takes into account such problems from the very beginning. This article dwells on some approaches, helping in this difficult matter.

I can't run MT4 build 220 under linux, I get an error with GetSystemInfo() function.

wat u do does not have anything to do with Windows 98SE or MetaTrader builtin functions...

is Windows System Service. you got kernal32.dll in linux?

u use wine?

all questions u alone can answer

Please, if have Win 98SE comments relating to my question then help appreciated... but again, i not talking about *nix environments

Regards
