oh i 4got - maybe u agree? i use 'realistic' expert inputs - like i use on live trading - 10% imho is BIG and me set to 1% on 10000usd demo i believe save deposit, make maybe smaller income but 'profit on profit' very powerful compounding financial method and lots traded soon become big (or small if loss ;) best |

Mine also started trading with a buy at 1.4093 and stop loss at 1.3443, 1 lot. At this moment of writing, I am down $195.51 and the lowest it went I think was about $260.00. It is still holding on and the maximum losses would be $650.00. I'll have to see how much profit it can make based on the $650.00 risk after it close that position. My input are the same as yours except that I did not offset the GMT. Any effect on the robot? Cheers!! Hope it will all works out fine. Hi guys
I normally work with IBFX. I open a demo account with 1500 Dollars. I downloaded FX Autocash-robot (EA only) and installed according to the instructions, but I have the following problems:
1) I drugged FX Autocash robot in Metadrader H1 chart. I set up Risk Level=10 and not GMT because they say it's only used for strategy tester. It apperas the logo with smile, but on the left hand side it says "waiting for tick data" is it normal ? 2) If I run the autocash robot on IBFX (GMT=0) with the strategy tester from Jan 01 2008 till Sept 30 2008 it does not enter one trade
When I dowloaded the FXAutocash from FXMeta, instead, everything is working . I run the strategy tester with GMT=2 and GMT=3. Looking to my results GMT=2 is better than GMT=3. The strange thing is that I asked a period from 01/01/2008 till 10/01/2008 and it start to enter trade only from June 2008. Anyway on FX Meta it placed a trade exactly like it did with you :-)
Is somebody using IBFX with FXAutocashRobot?
Thanks

New here. Downloaded and installed MT4 w AC robot. No major problems, just had to sort things through, ID verification, risk, etc. The pdf document and video on web site showed how. No trade yet, but I dont run 24/7. Very skeptical of results. I've read too many horror stories from auto robot users, forexpeacearmy.com has lists of reviews from AutoPilot and ForexTracer, and every other imaginable forex product. However, only 97$, with 8 weeks free trial. I've certainly spent more money than that on trading courses and services. Far more impressed with the MT4 software and capabilities, and this discusion board. I will run the auto cash program on demo account for at least the 8 weeks, and probably a lot longer, to evaluate its usefullness. Meanwhile it seems that my own use of the demo account interferes with the robot. It shows that the robot constantly initializes and deinitalizes every time I change the time frame, and shuts off when I change the chart away from EUR/USD. This may require more than one demo account! Otherwise it seems that theres a party going on here with auto trading that I was not aware of. There may very well be better programs available as shareware right on this forum. Further, simple systems are not that difficult to write and backtest. Creating a system that works in all markets, as this one claims, is the difficulty. Rather having several systems for different market climates, and using a discresionary approach towards the whole process may produce much better results. More research is needed into the whole auto trade approach, but I will maintain an active interest on this thread and forum. A few people had questions about how the parameters for position size and risk work. Set your risk as + percentage of your account, or - fixed position size. If percentage risk is chosen, the program will choose the apropriate position size based on the stop loss amount, currently set at 650 pips. If fixed position size is chosen, your risk is determined by the stop loss setting, 650 pips. If you adjust the stop amount it will effect how often you are stoped out. This could be both good or bad, depending on the current market climate, and what this program chooses for trades. My feeling is that a program that targets only 7-10 pip gains should be able to make multiple trades during a volitile session. |

new trade: 2008.10.02 18:57 buy 0.10 eurusd 1.3850 1.3200 0.0000 2008.10.02 19:00 1.3855 0.00 5.00 1 fixed mini lot, bought @1.3850, @18:57, stop @1.3200, sold @1.3855, @19:00, profit $5.00 I have the demo set on 1 fixed mini lot, with a 5K balance. This makes the results easier to interpret than a variable percentage position. $5.00 dosent seem like much profit on a 5K account, but considering the 650.00 risk its all that can be afforded. this offsets the 5.00 I lost yesterday when I couldnt figure out how to modify my own trade and ended up stoped out. I was aiming for 55 pips with a 5 pip stop and couldnt find my order to raise my stop. still cant get a grip on the time difference. 7 hours off est. there must be a way to modify this. accual times where 1:57 - 2:00 EST. |

if you back the charting software up it details the trade on the 1M bars. it appears it bought at the top of a breakout bar above the previous high. if this holds true I see no reason why it cant produce many trades during a session, unless there is something unknown preventing it, and I also see no reason for the large 650 pip stop. the good trades seem to be quick. a few minutes judging by his backtesting results. if the trade goes against me, I think I would want to be out quick as well. I personaly dont like the need for a perfect track record. I think this has more to do with marketing and sales than practicality. I dont mind a higher ratio of losses if they are all very small and the system is more active. the max drawdown on this trade was 3 pips. |

compensating for the 3 pip spread, it accually had to have bought in at 1.3850 ask, 1.3847 bid. the chart is based on the bid. just a slight detail, but important to keep in mind. especialy for those of us who arent used to trading small increments.

I was reading bout this autocash robot and there is a period trade of 3 months for a trade with 7 pips in wins, this can dessapear all the money in your account because means that this EA donde have autoloss so when you dont have any free margin available you just loose all your money.
