Join the lows of a chart with a line if price seems to be moving up

Add a line joining the highs if price is dropping - see http://www.forextrendline.com/

Also

Add a short term Moving Average (MA) and a longer term MA to a chart

e.g. the 5-day & 20-day SMA to a daily chart, or a 4-week & 26 week MA to a weekly chart
