Ticks. Are ticks actually trades? How would you count trades as they are placed? Both BUY and SELL? |

YB Each tick is a price movement and not a time increment or trade See http://www.forexrealm.com/technical-analysis/technical-charts/tick-chart.html They are the results if market forces - if you trust your broker that is ;) HTH -BB- |

"Each tick is a price movement and not a time increment or trade" Sometimes the price does not move. |

You are connected to a Dealer, who simply advertises a price at which he is willing to trade with you. . You are not connected to an exchange. You do not see other traders offers. You do not see trades. . If the Dealer is willing to deal at 1.5005/1.5008 that will be the bid ask. . If he changes his dealing prices, you will get a tick. . missing bars in low timeframe charts. No tick, no chart bar. |
